Dear Juniors and Families,
I am Amanda Bercovici, the Director of College Counseling at UA Maker. I wanted to introduce myself and wish you all happy holidays! Beginning in January, we will be getting to know each other a lot better. I am excited to begin working with you and your families!
Alumni Day:
- On Thursday, January 8th, we will be having Alumni Day! Close to 50 alumni will come back and talk with you about what they are doing now, their college & career paths, and what they wish they had done in high school differently.
- Alumni will speaking with juniors at lunch time in all rooms in the Maker space, and close-by classrooms. Lunch will be provided! (More details to follow on Monday, January 5th!)
Junior College Launch:
- At the end of January, we will be hosting our 4th annual Junior College Launch! At the launch we will be celebrating you as we enter this new exciting chapter! Be ready for:
- College trip announcements
- College representative visit schedule
- Discussing 1 on 1 meetings with me
- College lessons in advisory
- Guest speaker
- A raffle with 12 winners! (2 from each advisory)
SAT News:
Maker will offer the SAT for free on Wednesday, March 25th. In mid-January we will discuss how to sign up for SAT prep for free!
