Teens for Food Justice Hydroponic Farm
Our campus farm is located next to the cafeteria and was built with our partners at Teens for Food Justice and funding support from Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, Councilmember Chris Marte, and Green Mountain Energy Sun Club.
The farm will grow 10,000 pounds of produce annually for free community distributions with our partners at Gotham Park, to fill our cafeteria salad bar, and for families of Maker students.
On January 15th, we hosted a Flip the Switch grand opening of our farm with Green Mountain Energy Sun Club, Teens for Food Justice, representatives from the Mayor's Office of Food Policy, Borough President Levine's office, Councilmember Marte's office, and many community groups, including Gotham Park who will help us distribute food to the local community.
