Winter Family Support
For many families across the city, the benefits provided through SNAP are what enables them to provide consistent, balanced meals for their family which helps students arrive at school ready to learn. With an uncertain timeframe around both the delay of these funds and the government shutdown, we anticipate some families may experience food insecurity in the coming weeks. Please consider uniting with Maker in the ways below to help us help others in our community.
How You Can Help:
- Sign up HERE if you would be willing to provide a week’s worth of groceries for Maker family via a food delivery service (FreshDirect, Instacart, Costco, etc)
- Donate directly to the Maker support fund HERE. We will take care of the shopping and use these funds to help support other Maker families heavily impacted
What If My Family Needs Support:
- If you would like to sign up for a week’s grocery donation please do so HERE.
- Please note that we cannot guarantee the frequency of donations but will do everything we can to match families in need with families willing to donate. We will protect your name but family size, major allergies, delivery address and a cell number that can receive texts will be mandatory
- We are able to help a few families in need with a meal for Thanksgiving Day. If you would like to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal donation, please do so HERE.
- The specifics are still being determined. All meals will need to be picked up at Maker before Thanksgiving.
- If you are experiencing food insecurity or other family stressors, please contact Clint at ([email protected]) or via the website/WhatsApp HERE.
