Summer Resources
For Current Maker Students:
The College Office will be closed in July. Beginning in August, Amanda Bercovici, the Director of College Counseling, will begin reaching out to rising seniors and families.
Amanda encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, volunteer, and begin studying for SAT. Khan Academy has great FREE online videos to help.

Work-Based Learning

If you have a summer internship or program that you are attending and think it should count towards your CTE work-based learning hours, you can report it using this link. If you are participating in SYEP they will share your final hours at the end of the summer.

Rising 10th Grade Opportunities for fall:

  • Summer Search is a program that aims to unleash the potential of young people through mentoring and transformative experiences. It focuses on providing students from low-income backgrounds with access to opportunities that are often unavailable to them, such as full-time mentoring, experiential learning, travel, and college counseling. This year, two Makers will be heading to Hawaii free of charge for the summer as part of this program! If you are interested in learning more, fill out this form: https://www.tfaforms.com/5115083
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Workplace Mentoring Program provides students with a 1:1 mentor from 10th grade through graduation to prepare for college and careers. This cohort will work with employees at PWC. If you are interested in learning more, fill out this form: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/5854064/Workplace-Mentoring-Program-Student-Enrollment-STARs
